Visual Sclerotherapy

Visual Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy involves injecting medication directly into a vein, destroying it and redirecting blood into healthy veins. Visual sclerotherapy targets "spider veins" on the legs, medically known as telangiectasia for veins under 1 mm and reticular veins for those 1-3 mm in diameter.

During the procedure, medication is injected using a fine needle, followed by compression application, gradually eliminating veins over a few weeks. At ERVC, we use Asclera® (polidocanol) as the preferred medication due to its effectiveness and minimal side effects, avoiding the use of hypertonic saline.

Visual sclerotherapy is a swift procedure with no downtime, enhancing circulation by eliminating problematic veins.
