Now Offering Radiofrequency (RF) Treatments

While more than 30 million Americans suffer from varicose veins or chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) each year, less than 10% seek treatment.
More often than not, people with varicose veins believe their condition to be just a cosmetic issue not worthy of actual medical diagnosis. However, if left untreated, varicose veins can progress to CVI, causing leg pain, swelling, restlessness, skin damage and ulcers. Fortunately, varicose veins and CVI can be treated at Evansville Regional Vein Center.
In addition to the advanced treatments ERVC offers, we have added Venefit™ Targeted Endovenous Therapy to broaden our options for patients.
Venefit™ Targeted Endovenous Therapy is a minimally-invasive treatment that uses an ultrasound to position the ClosureFast™ catheter into the diseased vein through a small opening in the skin. The catheter is powered by radiofrequency energy to deliver heat to the vein wall. Once the energy is delivered, the vein walls shrink allowing the vein to seal close. When the diseased vein is closed, blood will re-route itself to healthy veins.
“As we age, it’s important to take care of our entire body, including our legs, as they play a major role in helping us lead an active, healthy lifestyle,” said Dr. Manley. “People with varicose veins must understand that they don’t have to suffer in silence. Vein specialists can screen, diagnose and treat their condition head-on.”
If you are experiencing any of the symptoms of vein disease such as leg tiredness, heaviness, itching, burning, numbness or restless leg syndrome, please call our office at 812-490-VEIN (8346) to schedule a consultation. After a venous ultrasound has been performed at ERVC, Dr. Manley will review your individualized treatment plan with you. For more information on vein disease, visit www.evansvilleveins.com.
